Chief Designer

Role Overview

Ansible Motion creates and deploys high-fidelity Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulators to automotive, motorsport and research organisations around the world to place real people in direct contact with virtual vehicles. We are seeking a Chief Designer to take the reins of our Design department, leading the development of next-generation simulation systems, from concept to production. Working closely with the Technical Director, you will play a key role in defining and delivering high-performance mechanical and electrical systems, working in a team of 12, supported by your two direct reports of 2 x team leads.

We are at the forefront of cutting-edge driving simulation technology, delivering high-fidelity solutions for some of the most advanced automotive and motorsport companies in the world. As Chief Designer, you'll lead a team pushing the boundaries of hardware and software integration, crafting next-generation DIL simulators that shape the future of vehicle development. The role will be based at the Ansible Motion HQ at the Hethel Engineering Centre near Norwich.

What will you be doing?

  • Lead the Design department within the business, covering both Mechanical and Electrical teams, managing resources and developing best-in-class processes and standards.
  • Drive concept development, defining and shaping the future of our products.
  • Oversee virtual validation of systems and components, including FEA and performance testing.
  • Manage detailed design and drawing releases, ensuring excellence in GD&T and PDM control.
  • Take ownership of drawing sign-off and quality assurance.
  • Be at the forefront of product evolution—enhancing current designs while shaping the future of full-motion simulation platforms.

What are we looking for?

  • 5+ years of experience designing complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Expertise in 3D CAD, PDM, and FEA.
  • A proven track record in the automotive, motorsport, or simulator sectors.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and delivering multiple complex projects.
  • A passion for innovation and the drive to push boundaries in high-performance mechanical design.
  • Experience with SolidWorks (desirable but not essential).

Electrical Technician

Role Overview

Ansible Motion is a world-leading provider of advanced Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulators, trusted by automotive, motorsport, and research organizations worldwide. From our home in Norfolk, Ansible Motion develops and delivers cutting-edge simulation solutions designed to enhance vehicle development processes. Our simulators enable engineers and drivers to collaborate in real-time, bringing human input into the virtual testing environment. By combining expertise in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, Ansible Motion delivers bespoke systems tailored to the unique needs of our clients, from early-stage design validation to advanced performance testing.

As an Electrical Technician, you will be part of our electrical assembly team consisting of highly skilled technicians who manufacture and support our Driver-in-the-Loop simulators. You will get the chance to work on cutting edge products for some of the worlds most renowned automotive manufacturers and motorsport teams, including Nascar, Indy car and F1.

What will you be doing?

  • Motorsport-style wiring loom assembly, inspection and testing
  • Cabling assembly, testing and installation in simulators
  • Main control panel assembly/modification and testing
  • Assembly and testing of internally designed electrical products and electrical goods
  • Soldering and splicing of wires and connectors
  • PCB Soldering
  • Reverse engineering of automotive components
  • Computer and computer rack assembly
  • Some International travel for Installation and maintenance activities. Products are
    distributed worldwide which offers the opportunity for travel (travel is not essential).

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in an Electrical Technician, Wiring Technician, panel builder or similar role within an engineering, automotive, advanced engineering type of environment. Not domestic electrician.
  • Experience with a variety of electrical systems – control panel building, automotive or related sector
  • Experience with reading engineering drawings
  • Wiring Loom and Harness experience would be ideal
  • Test and fault-finding experience
  • Able to work within a team on large projects

Marketing Coordinator

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Coordinator to join our newly created, shared marketing function. You will play a key role in coordinating marketing activities, running customer demonstrations, creating marketing assets including digital content, delivering campaigns, and supporting the execution of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive customer engagement on company’s digital platforms. This role requires a proactive, creative, tech-savvy individual with skills in graphical design and a passion for tactical marketing within the motorsports and automotive industry. Previous involvement/experience of brand creation and product launch within technology company is desirable.

This role is to support both Ansible Motion and rFpro in equal measure but will be based at Ansible Motion HQ in Norwich.

What will you be doing?

  • Campaign Coordination - support the strategic marketing in creating/launch of sub brand in line with market trends and AML core values
  • Customer Demonstration - coordinate, support and lead customer interactions on the demonstration days ensuring excellence in customer experience
  • Marketing Assets - ensure all content aligns with established house style, brand guidelines and messaging strategies
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing - manage day-to-day social media activity across platforms including the company website, blogs, and social media
  • Event Support - assist in the planning and execution of industry events and trade shows, with associated marketing assets and promotional activities and booth design
  • Market Research - coordinate design and distribution of and report on results from customer satisfaction survey

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably in a tech-focused or motorsport/automotive environment.
  • Ideally, a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or alternatively, evidence of equivalent breadth of understanding of relevant subjects.
  • Creative spirit – but balanced with analytical sensibility and a good eye for detail.
  • A robust skill set in conceptual visualisation and graphics design.
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning, brand identity/integrity.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO/SEM, and email marketing with social media content creation experience.

Software Integration Engineer

Role Overview

As a Software Integration Engineer you will be a vital link in bridging cutting-edge third-party software and systems to our world class driver-in-the-loop simulators ensuring they operate cohesively.  

What will you be doing?

  • Maintaining the company philosophy of being able to modularly connect to any product based on our customers' requirements.
  • Defining how systems interact in our customer projects. Each one is bespoke, and uses the latest technology.
  • Tailoring connections between a number of software and hardware components used in an automotive context.
  • This role has the possibility of travel to international customer installations to help maintain our systems.

What are we looking for?

  • Capable of understanding the software requirements of real time systems, such as Concurrent, National Instruments, dSPACE, and being able to integrate them in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to work with complex systems, for example HIL or simulation software, to high standards in a methodical and repeatable manner.
  • Experience in using MATLAB/Simulink for systems integration.
  • A fast and critical thinker, motivated by finding solutions to problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
