Ansible Motion’s state-of-the-art Simulation Centre to be the first facility at Snetterton Innovation Park

LDN-logoAnsible Motion will become the first tenant at MotorSport Vision’s new Innovation Park in Snetterton, Norfolk, doubling the size of our existing base in Hethel, where we've been located since 2009.

The move to the Innovation Park – located adjacent to the world-renowned Snetterton Circuit, one of the UK's premier motor racing circuits – will enable us to further expand global operations, and increase R&D and production capacity for our range of Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulation solutions.

Jonathan Palmer, chief executive of MotorSport Vision, says:

This is a very exciting time for Snetterton. Welcoming Ansible Motion and pushing forward with wider development plans is a real boost to the local economy. The development will give new life to the circuit and bring new race teams, motorsport businesses and advanced engineering firms to the area. We are seeking to deliver an exceptional, high-quality estate, attracting innovative and growing businesses. Ansible Motion is exactly the type of business that we are seeking to attract and work with, so we are delighted that they will be spearheading the Innovation Park.

Dan Clark, managing director of Ansible Motion, adds:

Our company has a long motorsport heritage, and we continue to work with several professional teams in categories that include F1, WRC, WEC, IndyCar and Off-Road racing. So, relocating to a Simulation Centre adjacent to Snetterton circuit – one of the UK’s premier racetracks – is an excellent fit for us.

Moreover, Ansible Motion is expanding rapidly, so we’re excited to be a part of this new technology and innovation hub in Norfolk, which will connect us with a broader growth ecosystem. The new Simulation Centre will double the size of our existing facilities and allow us to house all our research and development, design and manufacturing under one roof. We will also be able to grow our team. We currently employ 55 staff, and it’s our intention to grow to approximately 90 over the next three years following the move to the new facility.

MotorSport Vision – Europe’s largest motor racing circuit operator, which owns Snetterton Circuit – has plans for 30,000 square metres of commercial offices, industrial units and motorsport workshop space at the Innovation Park. The 13-hectare site will also feature a hotel with a café and electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities.

About Ansible Motion

Founded in 2009, Ansible Motion creates and deploys technology associated with the physical and logical simulation of human-experienced vehicles. We offer a range of automotive Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulators featuring advanced computational and mechanical performance capabilities, and industry-unique motion and immersion solutions that create compelling virtual worlds for drivers and product development engineers.

Ansible Motion DIL simulators are used by automotive and research organisations around the globe to place real people into direct contact with imagined vehicles, on-board systems and situations. Our DIL simulators are designed, built and developed at our factory and R&D Centre in Hethel, England.

In 2022 we were acquired by AB Dynamics plc (www.abdplc.com).
